Ultra Pure Water
Ultra Pure Water
Ultra-pure water (UPW) is a highly purified form of water that is free from contaminants such as dissolved minerals, organic and inorganic particles, and bacteria. UPW is commonly used in a variety of industrial and laboratory applications that require the highest levels of water purity.

Ultra-pure water is typically produced using a combination of different purification techniques, including:
-
Distillation: Distillation involves heating water to create steam and then cooling the steam to collect the purified water. This process removes most impurities, including minerals, bacteria, and organic compounds.
-
Deionization: Deionization removes ions and charged particles from the water by passing it through an ion exchange resin. This process removes minerals and salts that were not removed by distillation.
-
Reverse Osmosis: Reverse osmosis uses a semi-permeable membrane to filter out impurities. This process is particularly effective at removing dissolved solids and other contaminants that are not removed by other purification methods.
-
Ultrafiltration: Ultrafiltration is a filtration process that removes particles and molecules that are larger than a certain size. It is particularly effective at removing bacteria and other microorganisms.
-
UV/Ozone Treatment: Ultraviolet (UV) and ozone treatments are often used as final purification steps to remove any remaining contaminants, including microorganisms and organic compounds.

UPW can be used in a variety of sectors and areas and with the use of highly integrated equipment can be tailored to all your needs. Some of the sectors that use UPW are:
-
Electronics manufacturing: UPW is used in the manufacturing of microelectronics, semiconductors, and computer chips as a cleaning agent and as a component in chemical mixtures.
-
Pharmaceutical manufacturing: UPW is used in the production of pharmaceuticals and medical devices as a solvent and for cleaning equipment and containers.
-
Laboratory research: UPW is used in scientific research as a solvent and for preparing buffers and reagents.
-
Food and beverage production: UPW is used in the production of certain types of food and beverages, such as beer, where water purity is important to the final product.
-
Power generation: UPW is used in the production of steam for power generation in order to prevent corrosion and damage to equipment.
-
Cosmetics production: UPW is used in the production of cosmetics and personal care products as a solvent and for cleaning equipment.
